NAME :

    The Association shall be known as THE LUKITE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION of St. Luke’s Senior Secondary School, Solan, Himachal Pradesh.

Vision:

T  To establish a sustainable network of the Alumni for the growth and development of the Alma Mater through profound values for a good life through education and enhance its contribution to the local community, state and the country.

Aims :

The Association shall aim:

a)    To establish and consolidate effective relationship between ex-students and their Alma Mater.

b)   To encourage and facilitate the participation of Alumni, taking up activities geared to strengthen the functioning of the Alma Mater.

c)    To contribute to the growth and development of the Alma Mater in fulfilling its vision, mission and core values.

d)   To maintain a bond of relationship, foster a spirit of cooperation and collaboration among the ex-students themselves and between them as well as the present students.

e)    To create a network to felicitate philanthropic activities aimed at creating a harmonious world.

f)   The MANAGEMENT does not encourage the Alumni to interfere in the functioning of the school affairs.

Membership :

a)    Anyone who has acquired or imparted education(5 years minimum) at St. Luke’s Senior Secondary School, Solan (H.P.) shall be entitled to be a member of the Lukite Alumni Association.

b)    There will be a membership fee charged as part of Registration.

A voluntary amount by cheque/or a demand draft in favor of THE LUKITE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, St. Luke’s Sr. Sec. school, Solan(H.P) could be deposited at the office.

(The contribution to be utilized with the consent of the Executive Members for the development works of St Luke’s Sen. Sec School, Solan).

Headquarters :

The Headquarters of the Lukite Alumni Association shall be at St. Luke’s Senior Secondary School, Solan(H.P.)

Office Bearers :

a) THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE SHALL CONSIST OF - PRESIDENT, VICE PRESIDENT, SECRETARY, TREASURER, AND TEN MEMBERS. They will be nominated at the Annual General Body meeting of the Association. The term of the office bearer shall be three years. However they are eligible for re-nomination.

b) The Composition of the Committee shall be as follows:

i) The Manager/Principal of St. Luke’s School shall be the General Advisor of the Association.

ii) Any member of the association who is a resident of Solan town shall be the President.

iii) Any member of the association who is a resident of Solan town shall be the Vice-President.

iv) Any member of the Association who is a resident of Solan town shall be the Secretary.

v) Any member of the Association of Lukite Alumni and resident of Solan town shall be the Joint Secretary.

vi) Any member of the Association who is a staff of St Luke’s School shall be the Treasurer.

vii) The President shall be the Chief Executive of the Association and she/ he will be overall in-charge of the funds and records.

viii) She/ he shall operate the Bank Account of the Association jointly with the treasurer.

c) Any office Bearer of the executive Committee being absent for three successive meetings without proper cause shall cease to be a member of the executive committee and shall not be eligible to be re-elected.

d) The Executive Committee shall meet twice a year or earlier if there is any business to consider and the President shall convene such meeting in consultation with the Secretary.

Amendment:

Any amendment to this constitution shall deemed to be passed if a two-third majority of the enrolled members present at the Annual General Body meeting vote in favour of it.

The quorum of the enrolled members at the Annual General Body Meeting for the purpose of considering any amendment to this Constitution shall be fifteen.
